Experience on Demand

Preview for all who want to think along, join in or help carry it forward.

THE AIM IN ONE SENTENCE

The first platform on which people with extensive experience can offer their capabilities as a service – triggered by concrete demand, not by catalogues of offerings.

ON DEMAND – HOW THE PLATFORM WORKS

We don't start with: "Here are our Boomers, book them." We start with: "Here is a concrete problem – we'll find someone with the right experience."

Here, demand initiates the match. Not supply.

WHO IS WHO

Service Provider – the offerors.

Boomers with substantial experience who want to share and pass it on. They are coowners of the platform. They pay a modest monthly membership fee – and in return
become visible, findable, approachable.

Service Consumer – the seekers.

A person, a team, a company, a family, a community. Whoever, whatever the topic. Asking is always free – cross-financed through the membership fees.

TRANSFER ON DEMAND

The transfer of experience follows a standardised process. The aim: Boomers, competencies and tasks can find each other meaningfully.

For this, a new online assessment for experience is applied on both sides.

It captures experience for matching in three experience groups every time: experience with Hard Skills, experience with Soft Skills, experience with Passion Skills.

The linking of both sides begins with the experience profile of the seeker, specifying the kind of experience being sought.

Match, value and process of the transfer become transparent once the experience profile of suitable providers is displayed.

The subsequent interaction to complete a transaction is simple. The result forms the practical basis for implementation – for seekers and providers alike.

Fees can be agreed flexibly: Money & More – meaning either in money or in exchange, for education, contacts, time or as a donation.

THE STANCE BEHIND IT

Experience becomes service is not instruction. Not "I know better", but: "I would like it to be easier for you – or at least different."

Sharing experience means translating. Not saying "That's how it works", but explaining why it works that way, what alternatives there were, where the pitfalls lie. And knowing when the best service is the honest admission: "I don't have an answer to that, sorry. You'll have to find your own way there."

Experience as service is perhaps the highest form of generativity (Erik Erikson): not merely leaving something behind – but actively ensuring that it bears fruit.

And where AI genuinely runs out of answers – in human interactions, in analogue situations, in real spaces – Boomer vintages can come into their own. They are masters of tasks in real life. In English, abbreviated: IRL – In Real Life.

SIDE EFFECTS FOR US

Those who share experience stay in contact. Self-worth rises, social interactions come alive, autonomy becomes tangible. Spectators become participants. Participants become stakeholders. A side effect – but one that matters.

LAUNCH AND SCALE-UP 2027

Through a pilot project, we aim to prototype the platform's core functions and demonstrate — through selected use cases — that they hold up in practice.

Two options are on the table. Both rest on the same demographic and economic foundation:

  • A shortage of skilled workers meets a generation that still has

    much to contribute.
  • Working lives are getting longer — and the transition into

    retirement more flexible.
  • Companies need experiential knowledge, not just new ideas.

  • Many older people want to keep working meaningfully — on their own terms, at their own pace.

Option A — Regional Prototype: Sharing Experience Locally, Passing It On to Younger Generations

Target region: Basel and Northwestern Switzerland. Here, the platform becomes a showcase for a new kind of civic infrastructure for ageing societies.

People in their 50s, 60s and 70s actively contribute their experience: they transfer knowledge on demand, help solve concrete problems, and give back to society some of what they themselves have received. In return, they experience recognition and appreciation, participation and
belonging.

The approach scales well: in Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft alone, there are likely around 100,000 baby boomers

Option B — Thematic Prototype: Finding Experience to Deliver Faster, Cheaper, More Sustainably and More Robustly

Target capabilities: Production, Execution, Realization. For industrial companies today, these are often just as decisive as strategy, research or design.

Most companies don't have an ideas problem. They have an execution problem — getting ideas into reality quickly, reliably, scalably and economically. Those who can do this hold a capability that remains valuable even in an age of AI, automation and digitalisation: making things real.

This approach is scalable as well — by location, geography or theme, for instance with a focus on Precision.

From November onwards, we will explore both options in more depth and seek dialogue with potential allies, collaborators and sponsors.

With hands-on trials and proof points, we aim to qualify ourselves for entry into a significantly larger market: the German-speaking D-A-CH region, with roughly 16 million boomers.
